When the Covid 19 pandemic started taking hold in March of 2020, many people ended up working from home. After it appeared that the pandemic might last a while, many wanted to convert spare bedrooms into offices, but still wanted to maintain the option of having a spare bedroom when family members or friends visited.

To date I have built a total of 46 Murphy Beds. Most are Queen Verticals, some with additional cabinetry. We also build Vertical and Horizontal Units in all sizes. This includes:

Single (39" x 75" mattress pedestal)

Single XL (39" x 80" mattress Pedestal)

Full (55" x 75" mattress pedestal)

Full XL (55" x 80" mattress pedestal)

Queen (60" x 80" mattress pedestal)

King (76" x 80" mattress pedestal)

 

As long as people ask for them, I will take on the projects as time allows.

When people need a unit built, and after an in-person discussion to obtain the desired goal of the unit, I provide a build document outlining the construction agreement.

As of June 2026, a most basic queen vertical murphy bed with simple two panel trim style will start at $3,100. Horizontal style will be $3,300. Customizations and increased trim complexity will be added to the basic prices. The price for delivery and installation will be included with any quotes given. The price DOES NOT include a mattress. We recommend a 12" memory foam mattress for all bed sizes. Other options in all sizes are available to purchase.

The actual standard Queen Vertical bed cabinet is 66" wide, 87.5" tall, and 16.25" deep. The cabinet dimensions are customizable to meet room requirements, but limitations do exist.
